The areas not well corrected by a facelift include the nasolabial folds and perioral mounds marionette lines which are more suitably treated with B0t0x or liposculpture, respectively. A facelift requires skin incisions; however, the incisions in front of and behind the ear are usually inconspicuous. The standard facelift addresses the lower 1/3 of the face and the upper neck. Variants include the mini and extended facelift procedures. Procedure choices depend on your needs and must be discussed with your surgeon.
Facelift surgery (Rhytidectomy) can also be done alone, or in conjunction with other procedures such as a forehead lift, eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), nose reshaping (rhinoplasty),chin and cheek implants, liposculpture. Although a face lift can't stop the aging process, it can help turn back the clock. A face-lift operation can make you look 10 years younger. So, if you are 50 years old, you could look 40, when you are 60 years old, you could look 50, etc. Facelift plastic surgery typically performed in conjunction are: brow lift, to correct a sagging or deeply furrowed brow, and eyelid surgery to rejuvenate aging eyes.
