Reconstructive Breast Asymmetry Surgery


Most women have some degree of asymmetry between their breasts. It is normal for some variation to exist between the basic shape and position of the breasts on each side of the chest. After the plastic surgery you may be swollen and in pain, which can be controlled by medication. Depending upon the type of surgery performed, you may be remain hospitalized for up to 2 days. Your doctor will give you instructions in your post-operative care.If you feel any severe pain, call your surgeon immediately. Most of the swelling and bruising should disappear within two weeks or so.Your surgeon will let you know when you are ready for exercise. During your healing period avoid drinking alcohol, which can lead to fluid retention and delay recovery.
