Botox and Micro Botox to reduce or remove facial wrinkles: frown line, crow’s feet, forehead lines

Botox injections work by weakening or paralyzing certain muscles or by blocking certain nerves. The effects last about four to five months.

Botox has been around for a while and is Botox treatments have become quite common among the general population. The surgeon injects Botox into the face to reduce wrinkles and tighten the muscles. However recently a more advanced version of this procedure has become available Micro-Botox, and is offered by a select few surgeons Dr Rodrigo being one of them. Micro-Botox procedures are different to the traditional Botox treatments as follows: with traditional� treatments the surgeon injects Botox into the face a few times to reduce wrinkles, however with Micro-Botox, the Botox is spread across the face with more injections using much smaller (micro) needles and smaller amounts allowing the Botox to cover a larger area. This avoids the Botox concentrating in certain areas and leaves the whole face looking much younger and wrinkle free. In effect one could consider it a mini-facelift, leaving the skin texture with a far more refined look.
It is fast becoming more popular than the traditional Botox treatments but as of yet few surgeons offer this. Dr Rodrigo in fact is the only surgeon in Budapest offering this procedure. As you can imagine the Micro-Botox procedure requires far more precision and skill than a normal Botox treatment which in some cases are administered by Nurses. At our clinic you will only be treated by Dr Rodrigo who as you can see from the above video performs this procedure with extreme care to ensure perfect placement of Botox across the face.

Wrinkles in the forehead
Frown lines between the eyebrows
Eyebrow uplift or down lift
Crow’s feet around the eyes
Lack of symmetry
In specific cases in the upper lip
In the neck for people with good skin elasticity.

BOTOX® Cosmetic injections, it will temporarily weaken the muscles that cause wrinkling of the skin and your skin around the treated area will look smooth and less wrinkled, the rest of your face will not be affected. Botulinum toxin allows the untreated areas of your face to move as normal and you will still be able to laugh, smile and frown, but with less wrinkling of the skin in the areas treated. BOTOX® Cosmetic can be used to treat all wrinkles which are the result of normal facial movement. This treatment is simple,quick and safe. You can resume your normal activities immediately after an injection. Many people have their treatments in their lunch-time, for example, and return to work straight afterwards.

Recovery Time After the Botox Treatment

The Botox treatment should usually take no longer than 10 - 15 minutes and you can drive immediately and do your normal activities. Dr Rodrigo do not dilute BOTOX® Cosmetic. A small amount of temporary bleeding or mild swelling may occur at the injection site. Most patients find that Botox injections cause little discomfort. The results of botulinum toxin are not permanent, any unwanted effects will disappear usually within a 3-4 month period.

Post Procedure Care

Refrain from reclining on your side, bending over, and lifting heavy objects on the day of the procedure in order to prevent migration of the injected BOTOX® Cosmetic to the peripheral areas. Avoid sports, hot showers, and warm packs as they may increase circulation to the injection sites and decrease efficacy of the BOTOX® Cosmetic Day 1-5 after procedure: You may resume normal activities. Some immediate effect may be noticed, but BOTOX® Cosmetic usually takes 3-5 days for the full effect of the treatment to be realized. Most patients maintain the full effect for about four months, but it may be shorter or longer. Usually any effect of the injection has resolved by 6 months, you can then schedule for another injection.

Side effects can include pain at the injection site, flu-like symptoms, headache and upset stomach. Injections in the face may also cause temporary drooping eyelids. You should not use Botox if you are pregnant or breast feeding.
